Too many open positions
The "Too Many Open Positions" error in MT4/MT5 is due to a restriction set by your broker on the maximum number of open positions allowed in your account. These limits vary by broker, and if they are too low, they can interfere with the trading system.
Solution
To resolve this, please reach out to your broker’s support team and request an increase in your position limit. A limit of 600 open positions is usually sufficient and is what we typically request.
When contacting your broker, you can use the following template:
Subject: Request to Increase Position Limit
Dear [Broker's Support Team],
I am currently experiencing a "Too Many Open Positions" error on my MT4/MT5 account [Your Account Number]. I would like to request an increase in my maximum open position limit to 600, or the highest amount available.
Please let me know if any additional information is required to process this request.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards, [Your Name]
